こんにちは！Kanako (@eco.japan)です。 2020年9月から2021年2月の6ヶ月間で行われるイルカの追い込み漁について毎日記録していきます。この記事では2021年2月分をまとめています。

イルカの追い込み漁とは

和歌山県太地町では、毎年9月1日から翌年2月末日までイルカの追い込み漁が行われます。

  • 遺体販売（食用）
  • 生体販売（水族館等に販売）収入が多いのは生体販売

生体販売は、水族館、リゾートホテル、ドルフィンセラピー、ふれあい体験、ドルフィンスイムといった娯楽商材利用、教育研究利用、軍事利用等を目的として行われるそうです。

捕獲されたイルカたちは海外に販売される。主要販売先は中国で、2009-2014年の販売先は、中国216頭、ウクライナ36頭、韓国35頭、ロシア15頭など12カ国。
